LOG CABIN QUILTS

The Log Cabin was one of the earliest most popular and durable designs. A traditional red square in the center represented the heart of the home. The dark stripes in the block represented the north side of the pioneer’s cabin and the light side represented the sunshine. Log Cabin quilts were originally tied instead of hand quilted because the foundation fabrics used were of different thicknesses and the texture which made them difficult to quilt through all of the layers.

Our Log Cabin quilts are machine quilted by our own sewers in their homes. Our print fabrics are 100% cotton and the solid color fabrics are a polyester/cotton blend. The batting is a polyester fiber making the quilts warm yet light in weight and machine washable and dryable.

The Method we use of securing the strips of fabric directly to the batting eliminates the need for them to be quilted through all layers. Wool ties are used only to secure the back to the front for added durability during washing and everyday use. Our Quilts are available in King size measuring 114”x 114”and start at $289.95. Our Queen size measure 92”x 110” starting at $259.95. Our Twin measure 92”x90” and start at $199.95. These sizes can accommodate pillow top mattress. We arrange the squares in two different patterns- Straight Furrow and Barn Raising. However, the baby quilts are only available in Straight Furrow patterns with or without a ruffle and measure 41”x 50” and start at $89.95.
